MECHANICSVILLE, MARYLAND (July 8th, 2021) – As many have noticed, we have had an increase in car counts at many of our Test & Tunes and 1320 Fabrication ET Series events. Starting with this Friday’s Test & Tune, we will be saving the parking spaces from the stage to the Hot Rodz Diner for racers that drove their participating streetcar to the facility. Racers with trailers will not be able to park in this area. Racers with trailers will be able to park in all other sections of the pit area. This will be in effect for all future Friday and Sunday MDIR Test & Tunes. Friday night Test & Tunes could have other parking limitations if it falls on a special event weekend.

Saving Spots

For all racers apart of the 1320 Fabrication ET Series, this is a reminder that you can only save one spot for a fellow racer to park next to you. With the increase in car counts that we have seen over the past two years, each parking space needs to be utilized as parking has been filling up very quickly in many cases. We have had numerous complaints from racers that arrive early and cannot find a good parking spot because so many are being saved. To be fair, we cannot allow anyone to save more than one spot. One spot is two twelve-foot-wide spaces.

We appreciate every racer who comes out and thank all of you for the continued support all through last year and this year especially. We hope that these small changes can continue to make MDIR a better place to race for all racers of all forms. We thank you for your understanding!
